CA-LIBUR 20
Ca-Libur 20 is a high analysis suspension liquid calcium for the correction of calcium deficiencies and strengthening cell walls. It is formulated from organically certified materials and can be applied as a foliar treatment with either a spray rig or orchard mister. It also can be used for the prevention of bitter pit. Repeated applications of Ca-Libur 20 will have an effect on the level of sun damage, and will act as a deterrent for crawling and egg laying pests on plants and trees.

ORGANIC PLANT STARTING SOIL
Plant Starting Soil is formulated for germinating seeds indoors and out. May also be used for root cuttings and small transplants. Ingredients include vermiculite, sphagnum peat moss, bone meal, sulfate of potash, volcanic rock dust, kelp meal, soy flour, dolomite lime, gypsum and an organic wetting agent, yucca extract.

 

 

ORGANIC PLANT GROWING SOIL
Plant Growing Soil may be used by itself or mixed with regular soil to support all types of indoor and outdoor plants. Ingredients include perlite, vermiculite, sphagnum peat moss, kelp meal, soy flour, dolomite lime, gypsum and an organic wetting agent, yucca extract.

 

SOIL USE HINTS
For large decorative pots and planters, mix 1 growing soil with 4 parts of native soil with three parts Age Old Organic Growing Mix. This will add weight to the pot, and will provide better water holding capacity.

For heavy clay soils in the garden, top dress soil with starter mix and work into the top 6 inches of soil.

Hydroponics

Age Old Bloom and Age Old Grow in hydroponics systems

The best general use instructions that we can give, is in rock wool, or NFT systems, the amount of product used remains basically the same as the label for soil applications.

Small or slow growing plants, 1 to 2 teaspoons per gallon

Medium sizes and most applications, 2 to 2½ teaspoons per gallon

Large and aggressive vegetative plants, 3 to 5 teaspoons per gallon

Age Old Bloom and Age Old Grow are very concentrated products. Measure accurately. Remember keep the pH of the nutrient solution between 5.8 and never above 6.5, If possible also monitor the solution with an E.C. meter, keeping the solution in a range of 2 to 4 mill/Mhos/cm.

Do not exceed 5 teaspoons per gallon of solution. If plants show signs of stress, reduce the amount of nutrient in the solution.

Age Old Bloom and Age Old Grow can be used in conjunction with other nutrients. Just remember to watch the pH and keep checking the E.C.

PRO-TECH Algicide and Disinfectant™

For safe, effective control of many fungal, bacterial, algae, and viral plant pathogens, PRO-TECH Algicide and Disinfectant™ is a product you should consider. It is a liquid that is used at a rate of 1 to 2 teaspoons per gallon. It is packaged in 8 ounce, 16 ounce, and 1 gallon containers. Cost of applications is extremely low.

It is more effective than bleach, and is a safe, easy to use alternative to many fungicides. The mode of action is by contact, so there is no danger of the disease building a resistance to the product. Another benefit of PRO-TECH is that it is completely bio-degradable. No pesticide residues.

The product is registered with the EPA as a pesticide, even though it is a disinfectant, sanitizer, and algaecide. The warning on the label refer to the concentrate and not the product at recommended dilutions.

The chemicals used in Pro-Tech are essentially the same as those used in the F.D.A. rinse formula used for drinking glasses. The glasses are rinsed in the solution, then allowed to air dry, prior to drinking from them. Also the exact chemical use in Pro-Tech is E.P.A. approved at the rate of a little over one tablespoon per gallon of water as a surgical instrument germicide. Additional E.P.A. approved uses are for general household cleaning, swimming pools, hot tubs, and spas.

Compost Tea

 

 

Liquid fertilizers made from manure and compost have been around for centuries. Manure tea made from worm castings can be sprayed on leaves or added to the soil to form a protective barrier against bad fungi and bacteria. Repeated applications revitalizes the soil and allow the cultivation of plants without the need for chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
How to make your own
To make your own compost tea, you will need a 5 gallon bucket, a fish tank aeration pump, and a nylon sock. As a food source, humic acid, earth worm castings and sugar.
1. Fill bucket with water. setup aeration pump, and run the pump for at least one hour to remove the chlorine from the water.
2. “Add to the water” two tablespoons of sugar, two ounces of Age Old Liquid Kelp and two liquid ounces of humic acid liquid.
3. Place one pound of earthworm castings into sock and suspend the casting into the bucket for at least 24 hours, but no more than 48 hours. During the entire brewing process, and storage period keep pumping air into the solution. This will keep the organisms in the tea active and alive.
4. Use the brew within 24 hours after brewing process is complete.

How to use the tea
GARDENS FLOWERS AND ORNAMENTALS: At the time of planting, drench ground with 6 ounces of tea in sufficient water to cover 100 square feet. When crop emerges and reaches the three to four true leaf stage, spray with 3 ounces of tea in sufficient water to completely cover the leaves and ground. Repeat applications every 7 to 10 days during growing season. It is recommended to discontinue usage at least two weeks prior to picking.
TURF AND LARGE ACREAGE: Apply to soil two weeks prior to planting at a rate of 10 gallons per acre. Two to three weeks after emergence, spray crop with 5 gallon of tea per acre in sufficient water for proper coverage. Repeat application monthly.
